"SIDMOUTH, DEVON. To Emanuel Baruh Lousada Esq. to whose active exertions and liberality of spirit, the Environs of Sidmouth are indebted for their principal charms, this Panoramic View of that celebrated Watering Place taken from the Beach immediately oppisite the Marine Library, and including an extent of Country from Torbay to Britport, is most respectfully inscribed, by his much obliged an Obedient humble Servant. John Wallis jun.". Drei altkolorierte Aquatintaradierungen, von Robert Havell nach Hubert Cornish. Erschienen am 1. Juli 1815 von John Wallis Jnr & in London von J & E Wallis 42 Skinner Street und R. Ackermann, Repository of Arts, Strand. Jeweils ca. 29:88 cm (reine Bildgröße).
Sehr schönes Panorama in drei Teilen. Im Zentrum die Wallis's Marine Library, heute das Bedford Hotel, davor die Promenade mit Spaziergängern, Reitern und Fahrzeugen. Am Strand Boote und Badekarren. Flankiert wird die Szenerie von den Ton- und Sandsteinklippen der Steilküste. - Für uns nur nachweisbar in der King George III's Topographical Collection, der Paul Mellon Collection im Yale Center for British Art und der Huntignton Library. - Jedes Blatt hat eine vertikale Knickfalte. Stellenweise etwas Knittrig und angestaubt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene Exemplare der außerordentlich seltenen Ansicht.
