Vellum laced case binding with yapp edges, redecorated in the 19th century. On the covers a gold tooled framecomposed of several rolls. Flat spine, At the head a square red morocco title shield and at the tail a polygonal red morocco shield with the edition. Some gold tooled curly tools. Edges coloured red.

Characteristisch die mehrszenige Bildanlage mit Darstellung verschiedener Zeitstufen einer Fabelhandlung, Übertragung des Fabelgeschehens auf einen Vorgang im menschlichen Leben oder mit genrehafter Beschreibung der Umgebung" (Bodemann). Cancellans plates on p. 20 and 205.
