Die International Surrealist Exhibition war eine Ausstellung surrealistischer Künstler, die vom 11. Juni bis zum 4. Juli 1936 in den New Burlington Galleries, Burlington Gardens, W.1 in London stattfand, und die den Surrealismus als erste Ausstellung in England einführte. Sie wurde zu einem großen Erfolg, erreichte das skeptische britische Publikum und wurde international in der Kunstkritik gewürdigt. Die Organisatoren waren: Hugh Sykes Davies, David Gascoyne, Humphrey Jennings, Rupert Lee, Diana Brinton Lee, Henry Moore, Paul Nash, Roland Penrose, Herbert Read, E. L. T. Mesens sowie André Breton, Paul Éluard, Georges Hugnet und Man Ray.

Spine stained, stapling loosened, spine backed with Japanese paper in the fold, somewhat stained inside. The last two pages addenda with handwritten notes in German on some of the exhibited works. The International Surrealist Exhibition was an exhibition of surrealist artists held at the New Burlington Galleries, Burlington Gardens, W.1 in London from June 11 to July 4, 1936, and which was the first exhibition to introduce Surrealism in England. It became a huge success, reaching skeptical British audiences and receiving international art reviews. The organizers were: Hugh Sykes Davies, David Gascoyne, Humphrey Jennings, Rupert Lee, Diana Brinton Lee, Henry Moore, Paul Nash, Roland Penrose, Herbert Read, E. L. T. Mesens as well as André Breton, Paul Éluard, Georges Hugnet and Man Ray.
