XVI, 1 f., 261 pp. with engraved emblem at the end; printed on strong hand made paper. -- Contemporary mottled brown calf with large gilt coat-of-arms on upper cover (double headed crowned eagle under Russian Imperial crown with crest and attributes of school) and below gilt date 1828; on lower cover gilt crest of school (sword crossed with caduceus within wreath). 3 library stamps and 1 stamp "double annullé".
IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ARMORIAL BINDING ON A WORK PUBLISHED BY THE IMPERIAL CADETS SCHOOL, OF GREAT RARITY. The book describes the interior of the common room in the Imperial Cadets School in St. Petersburg and gives recommendations for the cadets leaving the school. It was given as a souvenir to the leaving cadets. -- In very good condition.
