Bookplate. In a marbled slipcase with library signatures on spine.
A most delightful Barbou miniature edition of Cicero's famous letters to his friend Atticus. -- Provenance: 1. From the library of the eminent bibliophile collector Hans Fürstenberg (1890 - 1982) with his elegant bookplate. - 2. Otto Schäfer (1912-2000) with his library signature on spine of the slipcase. In excellent condition: a perfect example of the sublime French book culture in the eighteenth century.
