Beautiful printed in red and black, with 156 woodcuts in the text, many music-notes, woodcut-initials, the famous full-page woodcut showing the crucification of Jesus Christ and three leaves with woodcut-borders and woodcut-vignettes. Rare, early Pontificale Romanum in perfect condition. - This monumental work is the official and complete liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church. It contains the offices for sacramental and other sacred acts and ceremonies, such as baptism, confirmatin, ordination, matrimony, dedication of churches, altars, bells, benediction of crosses, sacrd vestures, burials, coronations etc. It also includes many liturgical notes for Masses, Te Deum, and other religious ceremonies. - A perfect copy, onle the edges of the binding a bit rubbed.
