First edition of this rare and outstanding work on Austrian Poster-Art from the turn of the century. Only 200 copies in cloth binding were published and it is considered nowadays as a thought after collectors piece. Only the most efficient printers were choosen to make the reproductions of the posters, therefore they are all of outstanding quality. Beautiful examples of secessionist posters by the most important Austrian artists of that time, like Oskar Kokoschka, Gustav Klimt (the poster for the first exhibition of the Viennese Secession), Julius Klinger, Emil Orlik, Joseph Olbrich, Alfred Roller, Koloman Moser, Heinrich Lefler, Egon Schiele and others, all in perfect, colourful, partly lithographed reproductions.This book in a pefect condition as here present is very hard to find. - With a dedication from the author on the front fly-leaf signed and dated Vienna 1915.
