The details of military manoeuvres held in 1844 under Archduke Ferdinand of Austria d’Este, for internal use only. The main purpose of the exercise were tactical training with the intention of teaching military strategy and tactics. The various tactical exercises are illustrated on striking schematic plates, which represent the manoeuvres. Details are given on chain of command, participants etc., and expected movements.
