257) French Bible Leaf Illuminated leaf on parchment from a French bible dating back to the 13th century. Dimensions: mm. 330 x 210 approximately. Written space: mm. 220 x 142 ca. Gothic text on a double column of 46 lines in black ink. The decoration includes, on the recto, two large polychrome initials, the first inhabited by two dragons with human faces and the second by a crowned Saint showing a chalice. Another one smaller on the verso in gold with polychrome extensions.
