The fine covers with pictures of old German knights. The portraits depicts Johann, Herzog von Österrich, Joseph von Hormayr, Fieldmarchalleutenant von Chasteler and Franz Anton Schneider. Friedrich Förster (1791-1868) was a German poet and historian. He also wrote the drama ”Gustav Adolph, ein historisches Drama”, Berlin 1832. Philip Bogislaus von Schwerin (1790-1865) var svensk militär, major vid Svea Livgarde och överste i armén. Han stora boksamling splittrades efter hans död mellan hans fyra söner bortsett från en del som överlämnades till Militär-sällskapet i Stockholm. Svartstämpel med hans vapen och runt detta i en ram ”Philippe Comte de Schwerin” (Carlander III, s. 357).
