Lifelike illustrations and detailed descriptions of all domestic and foreign plants which provide the most important products for trade and industry, as a foundation for mercantile commodity studies. These two rare works are brought together in a single volume with finely coloured illustrations. The text has some minor foxing; otherwise, it is a fine copy. The work on plants describes mainly exotic, edible or medicinal plants of significant commercial importance, such as pepper, rice, coconut, ginger, figs, dates, etc. Similarly, the animals described belong to economically significant genera.
